Washing your hands for 20 seconds is one of the most effective forms of infection control. Do this after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing; after close physical contact with anyone who is unwell; after using the toilet; before and after eating; before, during and after preparing food; and after feeding or touching a pet.

Latest road-closure details

ROADS throughout the valley and highlands remain affected by rain and snow today. The latest at 2pm are:
  • Gordon River Rd, Bushy Park closed at Styx Bridge
  • Gordon River Rd, Maydena, closed at Styx Bridge
  • Ferry St, New Norfolk, partially closed
  • Collins Cap Rd, Collinsvale (between Suhrs Rd and Funslow Rd)
  • Collinsvale Rd between Berriedale Road and GlenLusk Rd
  • Collinsvale Rd, Collinsvale from house No. 415
  • Highland Lakes Rd, from Golden Valley to Steppes – accessible by 4WD and vehicle with chains only
  • Poatina Rd from Poatina to Highland Lakes Rd – 4WD and vehicles with chains only
  • Marlborough Rd from Miena to Lyell Hwy - 4WD and vehicles with chains only 
Proceed with caution:  Collins Cap Rd, Molesworth.
