THERE'S certainly been plenty of weather in the valley today. There's snow on the higher slopes and minor flooding in low-lying areas but perhaps the most dramatic scene is the image of the raging torrent tumbling over Russell Falls at Mt Field National Park.

A photo by Greg Power from the Waterfalls Cafe has attracted plenty of attention on the homepage of the Mercury newspaper website today. Click here to see more.

Meanwhile further photos have been received from New Norfolk NEWS readers today and they are greatly appreciated. All images can be enlarged by clicking on them.

There's about 30cm of snow on the ground at Mt Mawson within the
Mt Field National Park. Click here to see whether the ski-tows will be
operating this weekend.
