Change to Derwent Valley bus stop

O'DRISCOLL Coaches and the Department of State Growth have advised of a change to the location of the bus stops for Derwent Valley and Bothwell-bound buses in Hobart.

As of last Saturday, all Derwent Valley and Bothwell services will now depart Hobart from alongside the Town Hall, in Elizabeth St.

Due to building developments and construction in Hobart's city centre, particularly around the Elizabeth St and Macquarie St bus interchange, a number of bus stops are being relocated.

"These changes are part of the continued optimisation of bus stops in the CBD started in
December 2017 and we are preparing for the ongoing operation of the Hyatt-Centric Hotel in particular," Department of State Growth media manager Craig Stone said.

"The Department of State Growth is working closely with Metro, the Hobart City Council and building and property owners to ensure the transition of stops runs smoothly and passengers are able to easily find their new bus stop location.

"O’Driscoll Coaches’ Derwent Valley Link New Norfolk and Bothwell services, and Tassielink Swansea, Cambridge, Richmond, Campania and Colebrook services now depart from a new bus stop in Elizabeth St adjacent to the Town Hall."
