Weather takes its toll on power supply

PARTS of Glenfern, Hayes, Moogara, Mt Lloyd, New Norfolk, Plenty and Uxbridge are presently without power. Just under 200 properties are affected and the cause is under investigation.

A separate fault is impacting 388 properties at Collinsvale, Glenlusk and Berriedale, while an earlier incident impacted supply in a wide area from Granton to Sorell Creek and Molesworth and across the river at Dromedary.

Electricity supplier TasNetworks has advised those customers without power to
check its website after 10.30pm for an update on the estimated time of restoration.

The Mercury has coverage of the weather events here.
