COVID-19 ADVICE
COVID-19 ADVICE: The following links provide official advice and information about the virus known as COVID-19.
Australia's state and federal governments are taking action to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Use the links above to source the latest advice about what you can do to protect yourself and others. Washing your hands for 20 seconds is one of the most effective forms of infection control. Do this after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing; after close physical contact with anyone who is unwell; after using the toilet; before and after eating; before, during and after preparing food; and after feeding or touching a pet.
Gracious me; it's not only a clothes hanger.... but a boot rack as well!
ReplyDeleteThe only good thing in this photograph; allows the viewer to distinguish the size of the "Welcome to New Norfolk" to the size of the boots.. and who driving into town, would see an old pair of boots on the side of the road?
I wonder in awe what this clothes hanger will put on display next!
Nice to see the Norfickians are expressing themselves creatively. Pity they can't channel their energies into actually making the town more attractive and then perhaps they'd like it more and be more respectful, take some pride?
ReplyDeleteThat being said, the gate is naff. It is out of proportion. The white balls (pretend lights) are too small, the town signage is unattractive and over emphasises the council (absurd). The gate needs more scale - a half circle of ornamental pear trees round the back and some lower plantings (eg, hebes) around the sides and front would help. Though, that being said, they'd probably be vandalised within a nano-second of being installed. Pity.
Oh my that is such a very bad attempt at a "Welcome to Norfolk" Sign... the land of UGG addition created some much needed charm and style to that laughable eyesore.
ReplyDeleteI do wish I could simply "like" Smartie's comments, particularly the bit about DV Council's emphasis on 'self' rather than the historic nature and promotion and identification of the town. You do have to admire the wags though - go for it I reckon - show your creativity and keep us all entertained.
