Flood Watch for North West, North and North East, Derwent and Huon catchments

Minor flooding is possible in catchments in the northern half of Tasmania, the River Derwent and its tributaries and the Huon River from overnight Tuesday into Wednesday.
A second cold front will cross Tasmania Tuesday, bringing further rainfall.
Most catchments are wet to saturated and some dams are spilling in response to rainfall last week.
Widespread 24-hour rainfall totals of 15-25 mm are forecast in the west and the northern half of Tasmania. Higher rainfall totals up to 50 mm are possible in elevated areas.
Widespread river rises are expected as a result of the forecast rainfall.
Minor flood warnings are current for the North Esk, Meander, Mersey and Ouse rivers. Additional flood warnings will be issued for other catchments if and when required.
Localised flooding is possible in small creeks and low lying areas that receive heavy rainfall.
