More than 300 homes without power tonight

MORE than 300 homes in the upper Derwent Valley are presently without power as severe weather batters the state.


TasNetworks crews are inspecting the situation at Fitzgerald, Maydena, Mt Field, National Park and Tyenna where 281 customers are without power. Restoration time is still to be confirmed and customers are being advised to check the TasNetworks website after 8.30pm for an update.


Overhead line damage has cut the power supply to 41 customers at Bronte Park, Derwent Bridge and Lake St Clair. Restoration time has been estimated to be 10pm.
