Ouse River minor flood warning

Initial Minor Flood Warning for the River Ouse in the River Derwent Catchment

Issued at 3:21pm on Monday 23 July 2018

Flood Warning Number: 1
Minor flooding may develop along the River Ouse around Ashton and Ouse during Tuesday morning, based on forecast rainfall overnight in the upper catchment. Lake Augusta is near full capacity and expected to start spilling overnight.
Strong river rises are likely in the upper River Derwent and the Nive, Florentine and Clyde tributaries during Tuesday.

River Derwent above River Ouse:

Strong river rises are expected in the upper River Derwent.

River Ouse:

Minor flooding may occur along the River Ouse.
The River Ouse at Ashton may exceed the minor flood level (2.40 m) Tuesday morning.
The River Ouse at Ouse may exceed the minor flood level (4.00 m) Tuesday morning.
