By the Bureau of Meteorology, Hobart.

Flood Watch Number: 2

Minor flooding is likely and moderate flooding is possible during Thurday.

Multiple cold fronts will cross Tasmania this week, with Thursday's cold front expected to stall over the north east.

Most catchments are wet from recent rainfall.

Rainfall totals for Wednesday and Thursday are expected to exceed 100 mm in the west, north west, parts of the central plateau, along the Western Tiers, north and north east catchments.

Rainfall totals up to 50 mm are expected for Wednesday and Thursday in the Huon catchment. Snow is likely at higher elevations.

Minor Flood Warnings are current for Meander and Macquarie catchments and a moderate flood warning is current for the North Esk catchment. River rises are occurring as a result of yesterday's rainfall and additional areas of minor flooding are likely to develop with the forecast rainfall.
