The Sydney Male Choir and the Hobart Orpheus Choir will visit New Norfolk on April 5 to perform with the St Matthew's Singers at St Matthew's Anglican Church.
Formed in 1913, the Sydney Male Choir boasts a complement of more than 50 members and has performed all around Australia as well as overseas.
The choir is headed to Tasmania later this month, for a series of eight concerts between March 29 and April 7. This tour is being supported by Events Tasmania and Discover Tasmania.
The Hobart Orpheus Choir was established in 1877 and is one of Australia's oldest. It has about 50 members under the baton of Susan Reppion-Brooke, of Lachlan.
Combining with the St Matthews Singers, the choirs promise a great evening of choral singing at the New Norfolk performance on April 5. St Matthew's Church, established in 1823, is at 6 Bathurst St, New Norfolk.
