HERE are local cricket writer Wade Gleeson's tips for the second week of finals in the Southern Cricket Association.
This week in the KSCA finals we have New Norfolk playing St Aidans in the First Grade first semi-final at Tynwald Park on Saturday at 10.30am. I’m tipping the Red Caps to bounce back after last weekend's loss to Wellington and win by 35 runs or four wickets. Jordan Banks-Smith should get amongst the runs and put on a good partnership with Rohan Heron, while Jye Lester will pick up some very handy top order wickets.
In the Juniors, it’s hard to go past New Norfolk in the Under 15s grand final on Sunday. They have had a stellar season and I’m tipping the grand final to go the full length with the young Red Caps winning by 20 runs or three wickets. Christopher Hall and Jack Morgan Miller to get amongst the runs and Jake Sorrenson and Jordon Gittus to take important wickets. The game is against Kingborough at Cadbury Oval, starting at 12.30pm.
