No council meeting this week

THE Derwent Valley Council's first meeting for 2020 will be held a week later than usual, following a decision made at the final meeting last year.

During discussion of the council's meeting schedule for this year, Cr Julie Triffett proposed that the January 16 meeting be held a week later, in order to allow for the mid-year budget review to be received.

The meeting will now be held in the New Norfolk Courthouse, Circle St, at 6pm on Thursday, January 23. Agenda documents are expected to be available online and in hardcopy from the council offices this Friday afternoon.
