ABC live from Ellendale

11.05am: The first guest is Nathan Ransley from Tasmania Fire Service who has described the origin of the fire and clarified the local pronunciation of Lake Repulse (re-pulse)

11.13am: The second interviewee is from Hop Products Australia, discussing the impact of the fire on this year's crop of 12 different varities of hops.

11.20am: ABC online reporter Damien Larkins is the third guest, describing the fire damage he has seen around Ellendale, including burnt-out cars and sheds. He has also seen Aurora staff at work on repairs to the power supply and encourages motorists to be aware of workers on the roads. Damien spoke with Sharon from Karanja about being affected by bushfire this summer and last.

11.29am: Central Highlands Mayor Deirdre Flint coming up.

11.39am: ABC reporter Flint Duxfield is the fourth guest, presenting an interview with farmer Jim Allwright, whose property was badly damaged but his house was saved by his sons and Forestry Tasmania fire crews.

11.45am: Mayor Flint on now, mentioning the loss of ABC Radio in the area during the fire. Cr Flint calls for a blanket ban on campfires from December to March.

11.48am: Up now is an interview Joel recorded with fire crews at Westerway Fire Station.

11.59am: Joel signs off from Ellendale, apologising that several interviews were unable to be broadcast due to a new emergency warning for Eaglehawk Neck, but these may be played during the Country Hour, up next after the midday news.
