Pool to open early

WITH extreme weather conditions forecast for the upper Derwent Valley tomorrow (Friday), the Bushy Park Pool will open at the earlier time of 10am for all those who would like to seek refuge from the heat. Bushy Park reached 32.9 degrees at 2pm and a top temperature of 39 degrees is predicted tomorrow.

Bushy Park War Memorial Swimming Pool is at 601 Gordon River Rd, Bushy Park, and is open from noon-6pm on weekdays and 10am-6pm on weekends. The solar-heated pool is 33m in length. Facilities include a kiosk and barbecue area. The pool has a Facebook page here.
