Fire refuge at New Norfolk

A COMMUNITY fire refuge has been opened at Carinya Education Park at 103 Blair St, New Norfolk, next to New Norfolk High School, for people leaving their homes due to the Molesworth fire.

The latest update from the Tasmania Fire Service (9.45am) identifies the "nearby safer places" as Malbina Cemetery at 100 Molesworth Rd and Collinsvale War Memorial Hall at 14 Hall Rd.
