New Norfolk fire drenched

A VEGETATION fire near Southview Crescent was cause for concern in New Norfolk earlier today. The fire was first reported just after 2.30pm and multiple crews of firefighters were quickly on the scene.

The response included water-bombing helicopters, which were a dramatic sight in the sky over New Norfolk.

The fire was contained in about two hours, allowing full attention to return to the bushfire at Molesworth.
