IT'S a big weekend coming up in the Derwent Valley, with the Bushy Park Show, Speedway, markets and more.
The Bushy Park Show is on from 9am-4pm tomorrow (Saturday). Dating back to 1865, this country show is an
enjoyable, relaxing day out for the family. The show features woodchopping and equestrian sporting events as well as a ute competition, sheep dog trials, arts,
crafts and homemade preserves and jams. Situated beside the beautiful Styx River and nestled amongst the hop fields, the Bushy Park Showground is just 15 minutes drive from New Norfolk.
Saturday night's program at the Mountain Dew Speedway at Sorell Creek includes sprintcars, AMCAs and
super sedans as well as the bombers state title. The gates open at 3pm and racing starts at 6pm.
The weekly Big River Market is on tomorrow from 8am-noon opposite the Nurses' Quarters at Willow Court, while the monthly Derwent Valley Community House market is on this Sunday from 10am-2pm.
