Lachlan fires

MULTIPLE crews have been working hard in the hills off Haney Rd at Lachlan to protect homes from fires that are presumed to have been sparked by the bushfire at nearby Molesworth.

Nicole from Haney Rd says: "We currently have crews from the fire brigade and Forestry Tasmania. They are doing an amazing job dozing fire trails with a D8 in preparation to defend our homes with water tankers."

"We also have two incredible helicopter pilots water-bombing the fires ... they have worked long hours in really hard terrain and have so far managed to keep our houses safe," she said.

Thanks to Nicole for sending this report and photo.
