Cancellation Severe Thunderstorm Warning
For people in Western, Upper Derwent Valley, South East, East Coast and Midlands Forecast Districts.
Issued at 8:24 pm Saturday, 3 March 2018.
Weather Situation: An active trough crosses the state this evening.
Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in Tasmania.
The immediate threat of severe thunderstorms has passed, but the situation will continue to be monitored and further warnings will be issued if necessary.
Hailstones of 2 to 3cm in diameter have been observed at Oyster Cove
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
* Avoid driving, walking or riding through flood waters.
* For emergency assistance contact the SES on 132500.
