Wade's cricket finals tips

MY tip for the Southern Cricket Association First Grade qualifying final will be New Norfolk to defeat Wellington at Eady St today. Due to a wash out, they faced off only once in the 50-over format with the Red Caps getting the win. This was an important victory as it was where this final will be played. They have lost just the two matches during the roster and I’m tipping it to stay that way. I’m tipping a big innings by captain Jason Rigby and Seb Wishart to dominate with the ball.

In Second Grade in the first semi-final, Gretna has the home ground advantage and is in good form. In its last match against Richmond/Cambridge in round 12, Gretna got it done easily. Peter Jelkic will bat well with an innings-building cameo and Mathew Burns should have great figures with the ball.

In Fourth Grade, Bothwell has accounted for Bagdad in both matches this season and with this I’m going for the Bucks to win at Bothwell today. Opener Tyler White will make a very good score and Matthew Eyles should take wickets with his tricky spin bowling.

In Seventh Grade, New Norfolk III and Hobart have faced off with a win apiece and with this match at Tynwald Park, New Norfolk should take the chocolates. Aaron Drew to top-score with the bat while Brad Kemmler to snare a bag of wickets.

In Eighth Grade, Bothwell and Wellington have faced off twice in the 50-overs matches with the result being one-all. I’m tipping the Bucks to apply plenty of pressure and and go straight into the grand final. Captain Anthony White to bat very well and Peter Hansch to get some early and important wickets.
