Flood Watch for the Derwent

Flood Watch Number: 3
Isolated minor flooding may develop during Wednesday and into Thursday in the Derwent River catchment.
A warm front will cross the state during Wednesday bringing showers to the west, north and centre of the state.
Some catchments are saturated from recent rainfall and are likely to be highly responsive to further rain. Dams are spilling across the state.
Rainfall totals of 5-15 mm are forecast in parts of the flood watch area for the remainder of Wednesday. Snowmelt may add to runoff.
River rises are likely and isolated minor flooding may develop as a result of the forecast rainfall.
Further catchment specific warnings will be issued if and when required.
Catchments likely to be affected include:
Derwent River
(including River Ouse)
Flooding is no longer expected in the Macquarie River catchment. Flood warnings are current for the following catchments: North Esk, Meander
