Flood Watch for North West, North and North East, Derwent and Huon catchments

River rises are expected and minor flooding may develop in the Derwent (including Ouse), Huon, North West, North and North East catchments during Thursday into Friday.
A strong westerly flow during Thursday and continuing into Friday, will bring showers mainly to the western half of the State.
Some catchments are saturated from recent rainfall and are likely to be highly responsive to further rain.
For Thursday, rainfall totals of 10-20 mm are forecast for the Western Tiers, 10-15 mm for the north east highlands, 20-30 mm for the west coast and up to 25 mm for the Huon.
River rises are expected and minor flooding may develop in catchments as a result of the forecast rainfall.
Further catchment specific warnings will be issued if and when required.
Catchments likely to be affected include:
South Esk River
East Coastal Rivers (north of Bicheno)
Ringarooma River
North Coastal Rivers
Tamar (Launceston)
Forth River
Northwest and Central Coastal Rivers
Arthur River
Huon River
Derwent River
(including River Ouse)
Flood warnings are current for the following catchments: Macquarie, Mersey, North Esk and Meander
