Initial Flood Watch for the Macquarie, South Esk, and Derwent

Flood Watch Number: 1
Isolated minor flooding may develop from Tuesday morning in the flood watch catchments.
A cold front will cross the state overnight Monday and through Tuesday bringing showers statewide.
Some catchments are saturated from recent rainfall and are likely to be highly responsive to further rain.
Widespread rainfall totals of 5-20 mm are forecast for the remainder of Monday. Additional rainfall totals of 5-25 mm are forecast for Tuesday.
River rises are expected and isolated minor flooding may develop as a result of the forecast rainfall. Minor flood warnings are current for the North Esk and Meander Rivers.
Further catchment specific warnings will be issued if and when required.
Catchments likely to be affected include:
South Esk River
Macquarie River
Derwent River
(including River Ouse)
