MORE than 300 properties including the New Norfolk central business district will be without water this Thursday while TasWater replaces a valve in the system.
From 8.30am until 4pm, the water supply will be cut off to 330 properties in Glenora Rd, Blair St, Richmond St, Grey St, Dean St, Barnett Ave, Quarry St, Sharland Ave, High St, Circle St and Hay Court. Affected properties were notified by a hand-delivered letter drop on Friday.
The water company has apologised for the inconvenience and advises people to store sufficient quantities of water for personal use during this period. Once the water supply is restored, taps should be turned on until the water runs clear to remove any sediment, cloudiness or air in the pipes.
Anyone with special requirements or wanting more information can contact the TasWater customer service centre on 13 69 92.
