Water works deferred

WORK to replace a valve in the water supply to central New Norfolk has been deferred for 10 days.

TasWater says the project scheduled for tomorrow, October 6, would now be carried out on Sunday, October 16.

This means there will be no water supply to 330 properties between 8.30am and 4pm on that day. The affected area is Glenora Road, Blair Street, Richmond Street, Grey Street, Dean Street, Barnett Avenue, Quarry Street, Sharland Avenue, High Street, Circle Street and Hay Court.

TasWater says: "Customers are advised to store sufficient quantities of water for personal use during this period. Once water is restored, please run your tap until water is clear to remove any sediment, cloudiness or air in the pipes. If you continue to experience discoloured water after running the taps, please contact us on 13 6992.

"Please contact our Customer Service Centre on 13 6992 as soon as possible if you have any special requirements, or if you require further information.

"TasWater apologises for any inconvenience that this work may cause."
