Lindisfarne 21.25 (151) d New Norfolk 9.5 (59)
Good things come in threes and the Eagles were unable to secure a victory last Saturday after three consecutive wins. After what was expected to be a highly contested game, the Lindisfarne came through with flying colours once again.
Lindisfarne opened up the game continuing their good form but were wasteful when it came to scoring goals. Despite the Two Blues wasting several opportunities throughout the match, they still managed to lead the match from beginning to end.
In the second quarter the Eagles showed commendable effort narrowing the margin to 29 points. But in the opening of the third quarter the Two Blues regained their footing and pushed through to finish the third quarter 14.16 (100) to the Eagles 7.3 (45).
The Two Blues they had multiple goalkickers. Michael Clark and Blair Fazackerley finished with four each, Troy Cunliffe managed to bag three, while Justin Myers and Andrew Fleming kicked two. For the Eagles, Chris Watson and Blair Wardlaw kicked two each.
It was a top effort in the Reserves as Lindisfarne took out a 111-point win over the Eagles. The top goal kicker was Matthew Jarvis who managed to bag three.
Claremont 23.9 (147) d Cygnet 14.7 (91)
The reigning premiers had three comfortable wins, taking out the senior match by 56 points, the reserves by 53 points and the colts by 54 points.
Sorell 9.5 (59) d Brighton 7.9 (51)
Sorell finally managed to bag their first win for the season. There was great improvement all around for the Eagles; you could see their strength, determination and improved form. In the Reserves game the Robins managed a huge 68-point win.
Hobart 15.14 (104) d Huonville 14.12 (96)
The Lions were leading the whole way through the first three quarters, but with two quick goals in the final quarter Hobart took the lead and the momentum to take out the game. The Lions took out a 13-point win in the colt and a 31-point victory in the Reserves.
