Initial Minor Flood Warning for the River Derwent

Flood Warning Number: 1

Minor flooding is expected to develop throughout the River Ouse in response to heavy rainfall in the north of the State.

River Derwent above River Ouse: No significant river rises are expected in the upper reaches of the River Derwent.

River Ouse: Minor flooding is expected along the River Ouse.

The River Ouse at Ashton is expected to exceed the minor flood level (2.40 m) overnight Sunday into Monday.
The River Ouse at Ouse is expected to exceed the minor flood level (4.00 m) Monday morning.

River Clyde: Minor flooding may occur along the River Clyde.

The River Clyde at Bothwell may exceed the minor flood level (2.00 m) Monday afternoon.
The River Clyde at Hamilton may exceed the minor flood level (2.40 m) Tuesday morning.

River Derwent above Meadowbank Dam: River rises are expected in the middle reaches of the River Derwent.

River Derwent below Meadowbank Dam: Minor flooding may occur along the River Derwent below Meadowbank Dam.

The River Derwent below Meadowbank Dam may exceed the minor flood level (4.10m) Monday evening.
The River Derwent at Macquarie Plains may exceed the minor flood level (4.00m) Tuesday morning.
