Three more days at Willow Court

DARK MoFo re-opens at Willow Court today for a final three-day viewing. Performance artist Mike Parr has completed his 72-hour presentation, but his exhibition continues today and this weekend.

Selected items from Parr’s previous performances have been curated to form Asylum, a one-off installation occupying different buildings including the Barracks, Carlton House/C Ward, Alonnah House/A Ward, and the Occupational Therapy building, with video, sound, photos, objects and an interactive piece.

  • Open Friday June 17, 12-7pm
  • Open Saturday June 18, 12-7pm
  • Open Sunday June 19, 12-7pm

Entry is now general admission, no bookings required. Dark MoFo still requests that visitors bring a mirror to add to the exhibition and entry is subject to site capacity.

The exhibition contains disturbing content and themes, and may not be suitable for children. Curated by Jarrod Rawlins, the project is presented by Mona and Dark MoFo in partnership with Detached and the Derwent Valley Council.

There will also be occasional street entertainment and food vans in New Norfolk on Saturday and Sunday. Many local shops and businesses remain decorated with red lights and mirrors in support of Dark MoFo and many private homes have also adopted the same theme.
