LOCAL businesses and the Derwent Valley Council have been painting the town red in the lead up to the
Dark MoFo exhibition opening at New Norfolk tomorrow.
As well as the red-themed decorations in shops and offices, some street lights in the central business district turned red yesterday and will remain so until Tuesday next week.
Mirrors are also part of the theme, reflecting the
installation and exhibition at Willow Court, titled
Entry by Mirror Only. Curated by Mona, the museum of old and new art, the event featuring performance artist Mike Parr starts at noon tomorrow. Click

The public is invited to attend an opening celebration on The Avenue at Willow Court tomorrow night from 6-10pm. Hosted by the Derwent Valley Council, this will be a free event and no bookings are required. Drinks will be on sale and food will be provided free of charge. This will be an outdoor event so rug up and bring a raincoat or umbrella.

The st party is not going ahead after all the hype and the road closure notices and businesses that were asked to stay open longer. The council employed an event manager at the rate payers expense and there has been little to no advertising. This council needs to be investigated for all the waste of money on this and the ads that didnt need to be run as the road is no longer going to be closed. Very disgraceful
