Emphatic win for soccer men

Last week's soccer action at Tynwald Park.
NEW Norfolk's Division 3 team played a strong New Town outfit in a bonus home game at Tynwald Park last week due to Clare St being unusable. Following on from the previous week's performance, the New Norfolk boys came out determined to score a consecutive win and didn't drop the intensity throughout the game.

The teamwork, focus and energy all culminated in an emphatic 3-0 win. Blayne King continued his impressive average of two goals per game, his slo-mo second goal almost agonising to watch but demonstrating the necessary "never give up" attitude needed to win games. Shaun Jenkins again showed the value of being in the right place at the right time to put one in the back of the net.

New Town failed to score, not through a lack of trying but simply because if it rarely happened to get through New Norfolk's backline, goalie Martin Thompson was there waiting and was a force not to be trifled with.
