SFL Round 13 preview

New Norfolk v Claremont at Boyer, 2pm Saturday
Both teams had big wins in Round 12 and hopefully we will see these arch-rivals playing to their strengths this weekend. The reigning premiers are sitting one win behind the Two Blues on the ladder and will be after all the wins they can get to reach the number one spot again this year and earn the week off and the double chance at season's end.

The Magpies have excelled this season, winning nine of the 11 games they’ve played so far, losing only against Lindisfarne. New Norfolk had a rocky start to the season but has began redeeming itself in the last few rounds, taking out critical wins against some of the best teams of the season.

The Eagles need to give it everything they’ve got this weekend to stand a chance against the Magpies. Both teams will be desperate for a win to improve their position as things start heating up. The Magpies are likely to take the win, but if the Eagles give everything that we saw last weekend this may prove to be a fierce contest.

Lindisfarne v Brighton at Anzac Park, 2pm
With the Two Blues undefeated this season and Brighton not winning a game in the last ten rounds we can be fairly confident of how this game is going to go. It is more than likely Lindisfarne will take out the win this round, but it would be good to see the Robins put up a good fight for the remaining games this season.

Cygnet v Huonville at Cygnet, 2pm
After being defeated by New Norfolk last weekend the Port will be looking to redeem themselves this week against Huonville, but the Lions had an outstanding win against Dodges Ferry in Round 12 so it’s hard to see who will prevail this weekend.

 Sorell v Dodges Ferry at Pembroke Park, 2pm
Sorell and Dodges Ferry both suffered big losses in Round 12 and will both be out to redeem themselves. Both teams desperately need a win but Dodges Ferry is in a better position and may be
a little bit stronger in what should e a terrific contest.
