Minor Flood Warning for the River Derwent
Issued at 9:05 am on Saturday 23 July 2016
Flood Warning Number: 4Minor flooding is now occurring in the lower reaches of the River Derwent below Meadowbank Dam. High stream levels and some continued river rises to continue in other tributaries during Saturday
Widespread rainfall totals of 10 to 15 mm have been observed about the Derwent catchment in the 12 hours to 9AM Friday. Up to 15 mm has been recorded to 9AM Saturday. Further rainfall of 5 to 10mm is possible for the remainder of Saturday.
Strong and dangerous flows may be a hazard throughout the Derwent catchment during the weekend.

High stream levels to continue in the upper reaches of the River Derwent during Saturday

High stream levels being observed along the River Ouse.
The River Ouse at Ashton is currently at 2.04 metres and is expected to remain around this level for the remainder of SaturdayRiver Clyde:
River rises may occur in the Clyde River, with river levels expected to remain below minor flood levels.
River Derwent above Meadowbank Dam:
High stream levels and continued stream rises in the middle reaches of the River Derwent during Saturday.
Styx River:
Stream levels have peaked in the Styx River.

Minor flooding is occurring along the River Derwent below Meadowbank Dam.
The River Derwent below Meadowbank Dam is currently at 4.34 metres (Minor flood level 4.1 metres) and steady. The River Derwent below Meadowbank Dam is expected to peak between 4.30 and 4.60 metres early Saturday evening.The River Derwent at Macquarie Plains is currently at 2.70 metres and steady. The River Derwent at Macquarie Plains may reach the minor flood level (4.00 m) Saturday afternoon.
River Derwent around New Norfolk:
Minor flooding is likely along the River Derwent around New Norfolk.
