Lyons returns to Labor

THE Australian Electoral Commission has finalised the counting of votes cast in the recent Federal Election in the seat of Lyons and has declared Labor candidate Brian Mitchell elected for a three year term.

The official declaration of the poll will take place in Launceston on Thursday morning. Detailed results are available at www.aec.gov.au/results.
