SFL Round 14 preview

Southern Football League match preview
Round 14 - Provided by SFL League Management

Brighton v New Norfolk at Pontville, 2pm Saturday
After beating the reigning premiers in Round 13, the Eagles should prevail against the Robins this weekend.

New Norfolk had a slow start to the season after losing the grand final last year, but in recent weeks they have started to pick up their game and played a thriller of a match in Round 13. The Eagles have now moved up into the top four and will need to put up consistent performances to take on the Lions for the third spot on the ladder.

The Robins have also had a slow season so far. They started off really well in the first few weeks but their game play has only gone downhill since then. Brighton is only one win away from sitting on the bottom of the ladder and at this point in the season that is not a good sign.

New Norfolk will most likely prove to be that little bit stronger this weekend as the games start getting harder, but the Robins will hopefully use the home ground advantage wisely and put up a good fight.

Huonville v Lindisfarne at Huonville, 2pm
This game should be an absolute thriller to watch. Lindisfarne remains undefeated, but in recent weeks the Lions have stepped up their game and will provide fierce competition.

Dodges Ferry v Cygnet at Shark Park, 2pm
Dodges Ferry and Cygnet are currently sitting next to each other on the ladder, so this will be a tight contest as both teams will want to win this match and move up into the top six.

Hobart v Sorell at the TCA Ground, 2pm
Both teams will be after a win this weekend, but the Tigers are more likely to take out the win and break into the top four.
