Power out in half of New Norfolk

MORE than 1500 properties at New Norfolk, Lawitta, Magra and Black Hills are presently without power as stormy weather batters the area.

TasNetworks reports that 1588 customers are affected, with the cause of the outage still under investigation.

Severe weather is causing blackouts across the state, with nearly 9000 customers affected. Many have been advised of long delays before supply is restored.
